Exercise Sea Guardian is a high-level naval drill between the Pakistan Navy and the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy. These exercises focus on joint maritime security, protecting the sea lanes leading to Gwadar Port, and enhancing interoperability between the two fleets.

Pakistan has been a key partner in the US-led Combined Maritime Forces (CMF). It has commanded the Combined Task Force 150 (counter-terrorism) and CTF 151 (anti-piracy) more times than any other regional country, reinforcing its role as a key player in global maritime security alliances.
