Syed Ata Ullah Shah Bukhari was one of the greatest orators of the subcontinent. While the Majlis-e-Ahrar-e-Islam initially opposed the Muslim League, many of its followers eventually supported Pakistan.

He was martyred while protesting for Pakistan.

The Simon Commission Report was published in May 1930. It faced massive criticism and rejection from across the Indian political spectrum because it lacked any Indian representation in its membership, leading to widespread protests.
